When you want to buy something on the internet, you type the object into a search engine, receive GPS coordinates, and have to hike to the coordinates and spend three weeks contemplating on the nature of desire.

Sexual intercourse consists of staring into each others’ eyes and slowly unzipping body parts and throwing them away without breaking eye contact. It culminates in plucking eyes out and tossing them away.

Unthinkable, grotesque sea beasts come ashore. As they establish their erratic and multiplicitous dominion in silence, humans retreat into mud. Sea monsters are distinguished from all other beings by their pristine silence. Silence accords them terrestrial power. Silence is everywhere and influences everything the sea beasts lay scale, claw or tentacle to. They clear out all the cacophonous and even quiet noises of other living beings. They thrive on perfect silence.
